When I try to register my details, I get an error message: "That email address has already been registered". What's the go?
This means that someone (maybe you) has already registered that email address on News Online. To find out the password of this email address, click here and enter your email address and hit the go button. This will email the password to your email address.

I'm a McMedia subscriber and I've entered my username and password and I get an error message: "That email address is not registered in our database". Who should feel my wrath?
McMedia subscribers must register their details on News Online before they can gain free access. To register your details click here. If you have registered, and you still get the above error message, that email address does not match the email address that you registered, check for typos. Email newsonline@mcmedia.com.au for further assistance.

When I try to log on, I get an error message: "Your email and password combination do not match?"
To check your password, click here. Follow the instructions, and your password will be emailed to you.

I've changed my some of my personal details, such as address and phone number, how do I update my details online?
Your "personal profile" can be accessed by clicking on the "profile" link after you have logged on to News Online. The link appears near the welcome message at the top of the page. NOTE: This information is not available to the public, only you or News Online administration can access and change these details. The only piece of information you can't change is your email address. If you would like to change your email address, email newsonline@mcmedia.com.au.

Hey, I noticed that you guys put members' birthdays online, but I missed out. How can I get some birthday action?
To have your name included in our birthday section when your birthday rolls along, edit your "personal profile". You can access your "profile" link after you have logged on. It appears at the top of the page near the welcome message. Call up your personal details, enter your birthday and hit submit.

How do I find an article from last week?
The search box on Shepparton News Online only searches articles that are current. That is, articles that appeared in the latest edition. To search our archives, go to http://archives.mcmedia.com.au and log on. Our archives site is user-pays, so to pay for access click on the upgrade link that appears after you have logged on.

I belong to a school or library, do I have to pay?
No. Schools and libraries qualify for full free access. Email newsonline@mcmedia.com.au to make inquiries about access arrangements.

Hey, a friend of mine told me about an article that appeared in the newspaper, but it isn't online. Where is it?
The bulk of newspaper content appears online, but technical and legal restrictions prevent us from bringing you everything in our printed edition. Content in the newspaper that does not appear online includes wedding photos, graduate photos, Kids Pages, and content exclusively from our wire services provided through AAP.

I've noticed that some stories have "Online Extra" where the by-line should be, what does this mean?
Online Extra on a story means that it does not appear in our printed edition, it's a bonus for our online users.
